Chimur, October 23, 2023 — St. Claret English Medium School came alive with enthusiasm and sportsmanship as it hosted its annual Games Day, a celebration of teamwork and friendly competition among students.
The day began with a spirited assembly led by Rev. Fr. Robin Paul the principal, who highlighted the importance of sportsmanship and the benefits of engaging in group games. Students were eager to showcase their skills in a variety of sports, including football, basketball, cricket, volleyball, kabaddi and throw-ball for girls.
The basketball matches were a standout, held separately for boys and girls, and featured intense competition among the four houses: Green, Yellow, Blue, and Red. The students demonstrated remarkable coordination and teamwork, creating a thrilling atmosphere on the court.
Cricket matches followed, also organized separately for boys and girls, where each house displayed their competitive spirit and sportsmanship.
A special highlight of the day was the throw-ball match exclusively for girls. This fast-paced game showcased agility and strategy, as teams worked together to outmaneuver their opponents. The excitement on the court was infectious, with enthusiastic support from classmates and teachers alike.
The day concluded with an exhilarating football match for boys, bringing the spirited festivities to a close. The energy and enthusiasm of the students were palpable, making it a memorable day for all.
