On January 16th, 2025, St. Claret English Medium School, Chimur, organized an informative and engaging awareness session in collaboration with the RTO of Chandrapur District, as part of the ongoing Road Safety Month celebrations.
The event commenced with the usual morning school assembly at 9:00 AM, where students and staff gathered for the proceedings. After the customary activities, Rev. Fr. Robin Paul, the Principal of the school, extended a warm welcome to Mr. Narendra Umale the Asst. Inspector of Motor Vehicle Department Chandrapur and Mr. Kamlesh Khade from the RTO Department.
Mr. Narendra Umale delivered an insightful talk on road safety, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations. He specifically highlighted key safety measures for both two-wheeler and four-wheeler users, stressing that these guidelines apply not only to individuals but also to encourage students and their family members to follow the rules. He also emphasized the vulnerability of driving a vehicle without a valid license. Additionally, our drivers participated in the session. Mr. Umale's address included practical tips on staying safe on the roads and avoiding common traffic hazards, providing valuable guidance for everyone.
The second part of the session was an interactive quiz, where students from the 8th grade were invited to the stage. They answered various questions related to road safety, showcasing their knowledge and awareness of the topic. As a token of appreciation for their participation, the students were presented with gifts. Also all the students and staff members took an oath to adhere to road safety rules and regulations.
Towards the end of the session, the RTO officers were honored with mementos and shawls as a gesture of gratitude for their valuable contribution. Rev. Fr. Robin Paul extended his heartfelt thanks to the officers for their time, effort, and dedication to promoting road safety awareness among the students.
The session concluded with a powerful message on the importance of adhering to road safety rules and regulations, followed by the National Anthem at 9:45 AM.
This event served as an important reminder for students and the school community to prioritize safety on the roads, ensuring a safer environment for everyone.
