On March 12, 2025, St. Claret English Medium School, Chimur, celebrated its most avid readers during a special awards ceremony held at the school assembly. This event echoed the legacy of St. Claret, who was widely praised for his efforts in establishing libraries and promoting the distribution of good books. The ceremony honored students who demonstrated exceptional dedication to reading throughout the academic year.
Fr. Robin Paul, the principal, congratulated all the winners for their passion for reading, while Fr. Jijo Jose, the manager, delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of developing strong reading habits. The awards were presented in two categories: Classes 5-7 and Classes 8-10. In the first category, Tushar Anil Gawande from grade 7 received a bicycle for reading the most books, while in the second category, Khush Milmile from grade 9 was awarded a bicycle for his remarkable achievement.
Additionally, several other students from various classes were recognized for securing top positions in the reading challenge, further highlighting the school’s commitment to nurturing a love for books and reading among all its students.
